Purpose :

•      To monitor the quality of gloves produced

•      To provide information to production for immediate action

Sampling :

• Gloves are sampled and inspected in accordance to ISO 2859-1 : 1989

Purpose :

• To categorize the lots according to AQL prior packing

Acceptance Criteria's :

• If the lot passes the acceptance criteria as specified, the lot is sent for direct packing. However, if the samples fail the acceptance criteria, the lot shall be subjected to a screening process.

Pre-shipment inspection is carried out before loading of finished packed cartons into container.

Purpose :

• To ensure quality, quantity and labeling of finished product meet in-house, customer and FDA requirement before shipment

Sampling Method

• Inspection is conducted according to size breakdown of the whole consignment in accordance to ISO 2859-1 : 1989

Acceptance Criteria :

• If the result passes the quality requirement, the consignment is release for shipment. Otherwise, the affected lot while consignment shall have to be screened or replaced.

Gloves that are sampled in accordance to ISO 2859-1 : 1989 shall have to meet the following referee performance requirements :-

1.                  Meet the prescribed standard for water leak test, which is the internationally recognized testing procedure for barrier performance.

2.                  Have consistent dimension and meet the dimension requirement prescribed in international standard for glove.

3.                  Have acceptable physical properties characteristic when tested according to the test method specified in ASTM D412 & D573 or EN455-2. High strength and elasticity are important to minimize the possibility that gloves will rupture or tear under in-use stress condition.

4.                  With acceptable level of protein content and residue powder when tested with the ASTM test methods, to minimize the risk of allergic reactions in individuals that are sensitive to latex protein.
